Today, we released Clarius Ultrasound App 10.1 to the Apple App Store and Google Play. New features and enhancements make our best-in-class handheld ultrasound imaging experience even better! While imaging with any scanner, you can now tap on an area of interest to focus on to see sharper detail. And if you specialize in aesthetics or MSK imaging, you have access to new specialty presets to streamline your workflows. Read on for details.
Focal Zone Advanced Control
When you require the highest level of detail, use the new Focal Zone Advanced Control, which allows you to simply tap on the anatomical structure of interest to sharpen it for maximum visibility and contrast resolution.

Procedure Recording Mode
The new Procedure Recording Mode allows you to take advantage of your device’s camera and native screen recording to record a full-length procedure. This is becoming a legal requirement for some procedures, such as the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), to ensure patient safety.

New Facial Aesthetics Presets for L20
You’ll see new presets in the Advanced Aesthetics Package to empower medical aesthetic practitioners with clear imaging of the skin, muscles, vessels, and fascia for safe, consistent outcomes. The new presets available for the L20 scanner include:
- Cheek
- Chin
- Forehead
- Infraorbital
- Lips
- Pyriform
- Sclerotherapy

Brazilian Butt Lift Preset
We’ve optimized the new Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) Preset for the L7 to provide the best imaging while performing BBL surgeries. It enables deep scanning up to 11 cm and a wider field of view with trapezoidal imaging.

Automated Vessel Depth AI
To support safer injections, the Automated Vessel Depth AI now operates in Color Flow Imaging in addition to Power Doppler, allowing clinicians to automatically determine the depth of key blood vessels.

Advanced MSK Package for L20
We have new presets for clinicians scanning MSK anatomy with the Clarius L20 that support deeper imaging to 6 centimeters. Gain diagnostic confidence with additional customizations for various joint spaces using optimized presets including:
- Elbow
- Hand/wrist
- Knee
- Foot/ankle
Pelvic Floor Preset
The new Pelvic Floor Preset provides optimized visuals of deep pelvic support structures, including the muscles and surrounding tissues, with imaging starting in an inverted orientation. Dedicated pelvic floor measurements are also included to assist in displacement calculations.

Clarius C7 users can now enjoy additional MSK Presets for specific anatomy that can be imaged with the scanner including:

- An Advanced Smooth Control now gives users the ability to adjust the smoothing and contrast resolution of the greyscale image on many presets, such as MSK and Cardiac

- Background Upload to Clarius Cloud is now supported on Android devices

Control Your Scanner Updates
Your scanner will automatically update as soon as you download the new Clarius Ultrasound App – please allow for up to 5 minutes for your device to upgrade. If you wish to control precisely when you update your scanner (to avoid delaying a planned scanning session), simply disable auto update on your mobile device, and download it later from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

The Clarius Ultrasound App Will No Longer Support Android 5.0 and Android 5.1 Devices
This year, we turbocharged the Clarius Ultrasound App with features and enhancements to deliver the best ultrasound imaging experience. Our latest release includes advanced imaging tools and new Advanced Software Packages that deliver specialized presets, advanced reporting, and streamlined workflows that personalize your ultrasound experience.
As a result, we can no longer support older Android operating system versions. The latest Clarius Ultrasound App, version 10 and higher, will no longer be available on Android 5.0 and Android 5.1. Effective December 2022, devices that run these OS versions will no longer receive the new Clarius App update. Clarius Scanners upgraded to App version 10 and higher won’t be able to downgrade to previous App versions.
You can continue enjoying using the Clarius App by upgrading to our supported devices or operating systems.
