[VIDEO] 3 Physical Therapy Cases by Dr. Fritz: Handheld Ultrasound Takes Mechanical Diagnosis to the Next Level

According to Dr. Greg Fritz, PT, DPT, RMSK, his passion for ultrasound imaging was ignited 25 years ago as he watched his wife undergo an obstetrics exam.

I was sitting there in wonder to actually see my son moving around inside of my wife’s uterus,” he recalls. “All of a sudden I noticed his femur. I put on my physical therapist hat and thought, if through all that tissue I’m able to see a femur on a fetus, why am I not looking under the skin of my own patients?”

Since then, Dr. Fritz has become an ultrasound power user. He added the first generation of the Clarius handheld ultrasound to his physical therapy practice in 2018 and now primarily uses the Clarius L15 HD.

During his recent webinar, Dr. Fritz presented three real patient cases that benefitted from MSK ultrasound. He was accompanied by Dr. Oron Frenkel, MD, Emergency Physician and Chairman of the Clarius Medical Advisory Board, who demonstrated how to scan each area of interest.
